We are deeply honored to welcome Nene Nuer Keteku IV, Konor of the Agotime Traditional Area, as an additional member of the Council of Patrons for the Experience Volta in Accra Festival.

Nene Nuer Keteku IV is one of Ghana’s most distinguished traditional rulers, holding the rare and revered title of Konor — a sovereign rank occupied by only three leaders nationwide. A proud descendant of the Angbor Keteku royal lineage, he occupies the historic Great Tettey Nkyenefuo Stool, symbolizing deep heritage and ancestral authority.

His chiefdom extends across thirty-seven towns and villages in Ghana and Togo, making him a true transnational leader whose influence reflects the interconnected identity of the Volta people and the broader ECOWAS region.

A respected cultural guardian, Nene Nuer Keteku IV is a renowned authority on the Kente weaving tradition, for which the Agotime people—especially the community of Kpetoe—are celebrated globally. As part of his role on the Council of Patrons, he will lead our agenda to promote authentic Kete made in the Volta Region by the skilled artisans of Kpetoe, ensuring the world continues to appreciate and invest in this iconic heritage craft.

His community is proudly multilingual, speaking English, French, Adangme, and Ewe, reflecting a vibrant legacy of cultural richness and openness.

As Konor and President of the Agotime Traditional Council, he embodies calm, wise, and firm leadership. His presence strengthens the mission of the Experience Volta Festival to honor heritage, unity, creativity, and the timeless spirit of our region.
