Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu Supports Mawuleme Movement with Sanitation Equipment

The Volta Regional Minister has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting environmental sanitation and cleanliness across the region through the donation of wheelbarrows and Wellington boots to the Mawuleme Movement, a voluntary group known for its active involvement in community clean-up exercises and sanitation advocacy.

The items were presented on behalf of the Minister by the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council (VRCC), Alhaji Mohammed Avona Akape, who praised the group for its unwavering dedication to supporting efforts aimed at maintaining clean and healthy communities throughout the region.

 

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Akape commended members of the Mawuleme Movement for their selfless service and consistent contribution to environmental sanitation at the grassroots level. He noted that their commitment serves as a shining example of active citizenship and community responsibility.

 

The donation is expected to enhance the group’s clean-up activities and strengthen ongoing efforts to promote proper sanitation practices within communities.

The Minister expressed appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice demonstrated by the Mawuleme Movement and reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to a cleaner, healthier, greener, and more sustainable Volta Region.

 

The gesture forms part of broader efforts by the Regional Minister to encourage community participation in environmental protection and sanitation management across the Volta Region.
