Togbe Afrika, known in private life as Paskal A.B Rois, is a distinguished Ghanaian diplomat, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and musician whose remarkable journey has earned him recognition both in Ghana and internationally. He currently serves as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia to Ghana, Founder and President of ROIS NATION, and Chief Executive Officer of ROIS Group of Companies Limited, a diversified conglomerate with interests in oil and gas, mining, energy, aviation, travel and tourism, media, agriculture, healthcare, and hospitality.

 

Born in Ho in Ghana’s Volta Region, Togbe Afrika is the son of the late Ben Cudjoe Buoh, a former SSNIT employee from Akrofu Xeviwofe, and Josephine Akosua Kassah, a retired educationist from Dzodze-Penyi. His upbringing was rooted in discipline, education, and service. He attended A.M.E. Zion Primary School in Penyi, Methodist Junior High School in Ho, and Kpando Senior High School before pursuing tertiary education. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from Accra Technical University and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Procurement from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

His entrepreneurial journey began in the oil and gas industry after joining Seadrill Ltd in 2012 as an Offshore Materials Administrator. Within just one month, he established Rig Oil International Services (ROIS) Ltd, which has since grown into one of Ghana’s notable upstream oil and gas service providers. He later founded Elolo Oil and Gas Ltd, Jokas Oil Fields Services (JOS) Ltd, ROIS Energy, ROIS AIR, Rois Travels Ltd, and ROIS Music Productions, expanding his business interests across several strategic sectors in Africa.

 

In recognition of his leadership and international business influence, Togbe Afrika was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia to Ghana in April 2021 under a Presidential Decree issued by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. He was officially sworn into office on 26 May 2021 and has since played a significant role in strengthening diplomatic, trade, investment, education, tourism, and cultural relations between Ghana and Indonesia while safeguarding the welfare of Indonesian citizens living in Ghana.

 

Beyond business and diplomacy, Togbe Afrika is deeply committed to youth empowerment. As a motivational speaker and mentor, he continues to inspire young Africans to pursue excellence through entrepreneurship, innovation, integrity, and hard work.

Before establishing himself as a respected businessman and diplomat, Togbe Afrika made a remarkable impact on Ghana’s music industry. Beginning his music career around 1999–2000, he released four successful albums. His hit songs, including Danye Sidzima, Menya Be Awoenam, Kpedentor, and Mawuneyrawo Togbe Afefe, became household favourites across Ghana, Togo, and Benin, making him one of the most celebrated Ewe musicians of the early 2000s.

 

After spending more than two decades away from the music scene, Togbe Afrika has made a powerful comeback with a fresh musical direction that blends Afropop, Afrobeat, and Afro Gospel. His latest releases include Fire On The Floor, Happy Wedding Day, What’s My Name, Move Your Body, Danye Sidzima, Go Go Go Black Stars, and Move It, all of which are available on major digital streaming platforms.

 

He is also preparing to release a series of inspirational gospel songs before the end of the year, including He Saved My Life, He Made a Way, Amen, and I Am a Living Testimony.

 

To officially mark his return, Togbe Afrika has unveiled the theme “THE RETURN OF TOGBE AFRIKA – THE THUNDER.” The historic launch will begin in Ho and Hohoe before touring other regions across Ghana.

Speaking during our phone interview, Togbe Afrika also revealed exciting opportunities for young Ghanaians through the Indonesian Government’s prestigious KNB Fully Funded Scholarship Programme. According to him, seven Ghanaian students successfully secured the scholarship last year, and another seven have qualified this year. The latest beneficiaries are expected to depart for Indonesia in August to pursue higher education.

 

He indicated that he will soon share more details about how eligible Ghanaian students can apply for this fully funded scholarship opportunity to study in Indonesia.
