Volta & Oti Creators and Bloggers Association Pay Courtesy Call on Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu

A delegation from the Creators and Bloggers Association of Volta and Oti Region on Friday, July 24, 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu at the The Residency in Ho.
The visit was aimed at fostering collaboration between the Association and the Regional Coordinating Council to promote the Volta and Oti Regions through digital media, tourism, and strategic communication.
During the engagement, the Regional Minister acknowledged the growing importance of bloggers and digital content creators in today’s digital era. He noted that bloggers are often misunderstood and unfairly perceived as people who merely hold mobile phones and create content, when in reality they play a crucial role in shaping public discourse, promoting development initiatives, and influencing positive change.
He urged members of the Association to use their platforms responsibly to project the rich culture, tourism potential, investment opportunities, and development successes of the Volta Region. The Minister assured the delegation that his office would also continue to champion the promotion of the region and work closely with content creators to build a positive image of Volta.
The delegation, in turn, outlined the Association’s vision and reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with government institutions and other stakeholders to promote responsible digital storytelling, combat misinformation, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Volta and Oti Regions.

Also present at the meeting were the District Chief Executive for Ho West and the Public Relations Officer of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), who joined discussions on strengthening collaboration between the Association and the Regional Coordinating Council.
The Association expressed its appreciation to the Regional Minister and his team for the warm reception and the fruitful engagement, describing the meeting as a significant step toward building a strong partnership to promote the Volta and Oti Regions through digital media.
